PORCH Monthly Food Collection

‘Fight Hunger One Porch at a Time’

PORCH is a food collection opportunity within our community for residents to help the ever-growing number of families in Brunswick County who need food. This effort will be Sea Trail wide and is supported by the Master Association.   Once a month, a team of volunteers within Sea Trail will place a tub/box/container on their porch or at the end of their driveway where residents can drop off non-perishable, non-expired food items. The donations will then be taken to The Lord’s Food Pantry, sorted, weighed and distributed to 11 different charitable groups in our county.  Your donations are so important to this program in helping those who are currently in need.  You can help by either dropping off food and/or volunteering with the program.  For more information about PORCH click https://porchcommunities.org/

Next Collection Date: June 12-13, 2024

Please drop off your UNEXPIRED & UNOPENED donations to your neighborhood volunteer on either Wednesday, June 12 from 9 – 5 PM or Thursday, June 13 from 9 – 11 AM.  All donations must be  received no later than 11:00 AM.  Please Note:  The Volunteer containers are brought in each evening.  Thank you for your generous donation and supporting PORCH!

Bins will also be available on collection days inside/outside the Creekside Building entrance.

Suggested Items

Click Suggested Donation Items for donations.  This list changes by month dependent on the current need.  Please Note:  We can only accept unexpired food items so we ask please check your donations to make sure they are not expired.  This saves the volunteers so much time checking each item for expiration dates.  Also if you are donating pasta, cereal or other food items that might get soggy or ruined from wet weather, please place the items in a plastic bag.  Sample/Hotel size toiletries are also accepted.
