The Sea Trail Memorial Fund was established in January of 2017 upon the suggestion of the Sea Trail Songbirds. This fund was established to donate items and/or money in memory of our loved ones here at Sea Trail Resort. The idea was to have a fund which would benefit others who live in and love Sea Trail. It was suggested that donations to this fund could be earmarked for the use of any club, activity or committee of the Sea Trail Master Association or be used to enhance any building belonging to the Association with the approval of the STMA. Please click STMA Memorial Fund Guidelines for all of the details and the process to follow for your donation.
The Memorial Garden adjacent to the Chapel on the Green has a walkway of bricks which has been dedicated to former and present deceased Sea Trail property owners. Bricks can be secured for a small engraving fee. The Chapel Committee obtains the bricks and will facilitate a brick-laying service, when requested. The coordination of this process is the responsibility of the Chapel Committee to ensure all guidelines are followed. For further information, please contact Georgia Phillabaum at 579-8396 or Cheryl Schutt at 860-633-0427
The Committee to Honor America’s Veterans is a group of residents of Brunswick County who came together with a goal of constructing a Veterans’ Memorial in our region. Some of them have served their country while others are citizens who support our veterans. Their vision was to build in Brunswick County a memorial that would commemorate and properly recognize our veterans — past, present and future — for their contributions to the protection of our nation and its citizens, as well as the preservation of freedom throughout the world. They see the Memorial as a serene and dignified place where veterans and civic organizations may hold ceremonies and where individuals may come and reflect.
With construction complete in the Sunset Beach Waterfront Park, they continue to maintain the Memorial and with Phase 2, the Veterans Assistance Program (VAP), to work with local organizations to provide assistance to local veterans and service members in need. They are a non-profit, IRS 501(c)(3), tax exempt organization. All donations are tax deductible.
The Committee also offers a ‘gift that will last forever’. Consider designing a brick and adding it to the Veterans’ Memorial with the name of your veteran proudly displayed.
