RUMORS YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO…

From your STMA President

It has been a while since I’ve updated you on our current projects.  We have been very busy with all of them and great progress is being made!

Street Signs – Phase 2 of the installation has been completed (see photos below).  We are now waiting on the rest of the new green name blades to arrive. The Town of Sunset Beach has ordered the signs from the NC Department of Prisons, where they are made.  We have received a lot of positive comments on how they enhance our roads.  There has been a rumor being circulated that the stop signs are not the legal size.  That rumor is false.  Both the stop signs and the traffic control signs are all the proper size and height.  The Town of Sunset Beach Police Chief has confirmed that as well.

Guardrails – The repairs and renovations to the guardrails along Clubhouse Road have been completed (see photos below).  If you haven’t checked them out, drive by and see what an improvement they have also made to our roads.  The solar powered post lights look pretty cool at night, BTW!

Pink Palace Pool (PP) – Extensive renovations and repairs continue on the PP pool. Several major issues were discovered when the decking was removed and extensive repairs had to be made prior to completing the new deck.  We are still planning on opening the PP pool by Memorial Day weekend and hope to have a STMA cookout celebrating the reopening.  More information to come later.  (Click HERE to view up-to-date photos of the renovations – scroll to bottom of page)

Pink Palace Interior Renovations – These updates are now being planned and their completion will coincide with the final days of the pool renovation.  We are trying to minimize the closure of the Pink Palace and believe that we can do this in mid May.

MAC Pool – Some repairs to this pool were also required.  Those repairs have been completed and we anticipatethe MAC pool opening on April 1.  Please note that the pools will close at 9 PM daily.  People who violate those hours and any other rules will have their access cards deactivated.

Finally, if you haven’t read the recent news about Riptide Builders and their sister company, Sea Trail Investments, click HERE to review the details of all of these improvements that are in the works.

These are exciting times for all of Sea Trail and I hope that you share my enthusiasm for the bright and prosperous future that is being planned and developed.

Until next time, hit em straight and long, not like me!

Steve Miller, STMA President
