Dear Sea Trail Property Owners,

I would like to introduce our new Sea Trail Master Association (STMA) Board of Directors who were voted into office last week following our annual meeting:

Here is a short bio for each of our new members:

Steve Miller, President:  I started at IBM in 1972 while still in school at UNC.  After working at IBM for 33 years, I retired in 2005.  I then earned my USCG Captains License in 2004/2005, moved to Beaufort, NC and started my own yacht brokerage.  I was the President of a private marina HOA for 11 years while still running my own company, Crystal Coast Boats for 12 years.  I decided to really retire again in 2018 and moved to a golf community. After moving down here and renting for a year, we selected Sea Trail for our new home.  We finally moved into our new house in September 2019, became VP of STMA in 2021, assumed Presidency this year.  And so the story goes…

Jo Donna O’Leary, Vice President:  My husband and I purchased property here in 1992.  We retired in 1997 and came here permanently from Long Island

  • Retired as a paralegal
  • Owned and operated a travel agency here for many years
  • Have served as a volunteer on many Master Association Board committees

I am looking forward to serving on this Master Association Board …

Chris Kirch, Treasurer:  I retired after working for Xerox Corporation for 32 years. I was directly responsible for leading the outsourcing business in the NY/NJ/CT area. Responsibilities included sales, operations and finance of the $250m region.

After vacationing at Ocean Isle for over 32 years. My wife, Jean, and I knew that when we retired, Sea Trail was the place to go.  So three years ago, we left northern New Jersey and moved into our new home at 920 Oyster Pointe Dr.

Dawn Smiarowski, Secretary:  My husband Michael of 32 year and I moved from Charlotte NC to Sea Trail full-time about 1.5 years ago from the Charlotte, NC. We have lived in Charlotte for over 23. This is where we chose to raised our family.

My career has included the following:

  • Global Real Estate Consultant for a Fortune 100 Company
  • Real Estate Sales and Consulting in Residential Homes
  • Deputy Town Clerk;  involved with Town Council, Planning Board, Board of Adjustments etc.
  • Project Manager in Marketing, Merchandising  and Operations for a Fortune 500 company
  • Various volunteer positions throughout; HOA President, Booster Club Board Member, many social committees and fundraisers

We would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to Roz Dahlen, Greg Barratt and Dana Connelly for their dedication, hardwork and support of the STMA over the past few years.  Their endless hours, commitment and positive attitude will continue to inspire us all.  We hope to follow in your footsteps to enhance and improve our Sea Trail paradise.  We will promote and encourage our volunteers to work together in a team effort along with the CAMS staff and Riptide.  We are all looking forward to welcoming in 2023 and kick starting a brand new year of success!
