As you may be aware, an application for approval of “The Sanctuary “, comprising 366 single family homes has been submitted to the Town of Sunset Beach.

The property included in the application encompasses the southern-most part of the former Angels Trace Golf Course. It runs from Highway 904 in the east approximately between the Seaside Methodist Church to the north and the Sunset Beach ABC store to the south, west across Angels Trace Road with undeveloped tract #16 in Sea Trail to the north and the Calabash Creek/hole #’s 12 & 13 of Maples, to the south up to the rear of the developed residential lots on the east side of Edgewater Circle in Sea Trail.

The engineered plans including lots, roads, stormwater design and other infrastructure for the development are on the file in the Planning Office of the Town of Sunset Beach and are available for public review.

The plans have gone through technical review and are currently scheduled to be considered by the Sunset Beach Planning Board at their September 19, 2019 meeting.  As a resident of Sunset Beach and a possible affected property owner, you have the opportunity to provide any comments to the Planning Board and Planning Director for Sunset Beach on the development you feel should be considered.
