MAC pool will open for the season, tomorrow, March 29th

Exciting news!  The MAC pool will open for the season, tomorrow, March 29th – a few days ahead of schedule.  The pool hours are 6AM to 9PM daily. In light of this, we wanted to let you know about some changes and share some important reminders.

We will only have Pool Monitors working on Friday, Saturday, and  Sunday.   Holiday weekends will include coverage on Memorial Day Weekend (May 26, 27, 28, 29); Independence Day Weekend (June 30, July 1, 2, 3,and 4); and Labor Day Weekend (September 1, 2, 3, 4).  The Pool Monitors start their schedule on Memorial Day weekend and end on Labor Day.

Pool monitors represent the Sea Trail Master Association and should always be respected.  During the weekdays, our onsite maintenance technician will be monitoring the trash and preparing the pool decks each morning.  We ask that individuals using the pool to follow all pool rules, clean up after yourselves, and put the umbrellas down and tie them before you leave the pool.

Remember,  no glass containers are permitted inside the pool enclosure.  Bringing glass containers will be a violation of the rules and will cause your access to be denied.  In addition, no food or beverages are allowed within three feet of the pool perimeter.

Please adhere to the posted pool hours.  We will have patrols checking on the pools at night, and we have video surveillance and the access system to identify anyone who is in the pool or hot tub after hours.

In case of a true emergency, please use the pool emergency phone to dial 911.  If you have a non-emergency concern or a maintenance issue, please call the CAMS office at 910-579-5374.

HAPPY SWIMMING and enjoy the MAC pool!  We will update you on the progress of the Pink Palace pool shortly.

Update: March Pictures Added to Pink Palace Pool Renovation

Please click Pools, Spas & Sauna Page Photo Gallery Section to view images of the Pink Palace Pool Renovation.  New pictures were just taken March 14 to add to those taken in January & February.  Again we thank Neil Weiss for his current portfolio of images.  Neil will continue to snap photos of the project and as we receive them, we will add them to the Pools, Spas & Sauna page.   Stay tuned!  The photos give us a great perspective of the work being done to improve the entire area!  It will be fun to watch the changes occur and transform into a beautiful pool and surrounding deck space!

From your STMA President

It has been a while since I’ve updated you on our current projects.  We have been very busy with all of them and great progress is being made!

Street Signs – Phase 2 of the installation has been completed (see photos below).  We are now waiting on the rest of the new green name blades to arrive. The Town of Sunset Beach has ordered the signs from the NC Department of Prisons, where they are made.  We have received a lot of positive comments on how they enhance our roads.  There has been a rumor being circulated that the stop signs are not the legal size.  That rumor is false.  Both the stop signs and the traffic control signs are all the proper size and height.  The Town of Sunset Beach Police Chief has confirmed that as well.

Guardrails – The repairs and renovations to the guardrails along Clubhouse Road have been completed (see photos below).  If you haven’t checked them out, drive by and see what an improvement they have also made to our roads.  The solar powered post lights look pretty cool at night, BTW!

Pink Palace Pool (PP) – Extensive renovations and repairs continue on the PP pool. Several major issues were discovered when the decking was removed and extensive repairs had to be made prior to completing the new deck.  We are still planning on opening the PP pool by Memorial Day weekend and hope to have a STMA cookout celebrating the reopening.  More information to come later.  (Click HERE to view up-to-date photos of the renovations – scroll to bottom of page)

Pink Palace Interior Renovations – These updates are now being planned and their completion will coincide with the final days of the pool renovation.  We are trying to minimize the closure of the Pink Palace and believe that we can do this in mid May.

MAC Pool – Some repairs to this pool were also required.  Those repairs have been completed and we anticipatethe MAC pool opening on April 1.  Please note that the pools will close at 9 PM daily.  People who violate those hours and any other rules will have their access cards deactivated.

Finally, if you haven’t read the recent news about Riptide Builders and their sister company, Sea Trail Investments, click HERE to review the details of all of these improvements that are in the works.

These are exciting times for all of Sea Trail and I hope that you share my enthusiasm for the bright and prosperous future that is being planned and developed.

Until next time, hit em straight and long, not like me!

Steve Miller, STMA President
