Primary Early Voting Has Begun

Early voting begins today, February 15, and ends on March 2.  There is a location at the Brunswick County Government Center as well as four other locations in the county.  Voters can go to any open early voting location in the county to cast a ballot.

Satellite Locations

  • Leland Cultural Arts Center – 1212 Magnolia Village Way, Leland, NC, 28451
  • Brunswick Center at Southport – 1513 N Howe Street, Southport, NC, 28461
  • Brunswick Center at Shallotte – 3620 Express Drive, Shallotte, NC, 28470
  • Sunset Beach Community Center- 200 Station Trail, Sunset Beach, NC, 28468

Reminder:  Voter ID Notice

Voters will now be asked to present a valid photo identification when voting in person. If you do not have a valid photo ID card, you may obtain one from your county board of elections prior to the election, through the end of the early voting period.

NC Absentee Ballot Portal Now Open

You can request an absentee ballot for the primary election online through the NC Absentee Ballot Portal. Any registered voter in Brunswick County may vote by absentee ballot. In addition to the online portal, you can use the NC Absentee Request Form (PDF) to request a ballot.

Requests for the 2024 primary election must be received by the Board of Elections no later than 5 pm on Tuesday, February 27. The primary election is Tuesday, March 5.
